CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - Punjab Rural Support Programme - Lahore


Punjab Rural Support Programme (PRSP)

PRSP is a Rural Support Programme operating in 29 districts of the Province of Punjab, with 6 regional offices each headed by a Regional General Manager (RGM).

PRSP as a support organization help the poor (i) to organize themselves, (ii) identify true and genuine leadership from amongst the community organization, (iii) identify opportunities to unleash their potential, (iv) mobilize resources both from within the community and outside to avail the identified opportunities and (v) forge linkages between organized poor and government departments, development agencies, donors, NGOs, commercial banks and private sector. PRSP is not a service delivery agency but a support organization fostering a framework of broad-based grassroot institutions of the poor to enable the poor to access resources and services meant for sustainable development.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER'S TASKS Reporting to the Board of Directors (BoDs) and the Executive Committee through the Chairman of the Board, the CEO's duties will be as follows:

provide intellectual and professional leadership to the I advise the Executive Committee on policy issues and take active measures to update the PRSP vision objectives and activities for and on behalf of the Board of Directors

to prepare and secure the approval of the PRSP budget by the Executive Committee / BoD and manage funds and prepare and present timely and annual budget reports;

to establish reliable systems and mechanisms for monitoring evaluating and providing feedback to the Executive Committee / BoD on the activities of PRSP; and

to perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the Chairman of the Board.

Qualifications

A minimum degree at Master's level in social or natural sciences or equivalentprofcssional qualification.

At least 15 years experience of dealing with the problems of rural poverty and hands on experience of interacting with the rural poor. A proven management experience within Development field. A demonstrable capability for fund raising and resource mobilization at national, provincial and international levels. A demonstrable acumen and experience of seeking collaboration and forging linkages with Government agencies. Development agencies, NGOs, Commercial Banks, Private Sector agencies etc. A competitive salary package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position will be offered to the successful candidate.
