KSBL is seeking the services of a Field Engineer who will provide support and assistance to the Site Construction Manager in construction activities, including quality control and quantity verification, for a state-of-the art educational building complex located at Karachi, having a constructed area of around 250,000 sq ft., designed by an internationally renowned firm of architects.

Major accountabilities

• Manage plot demarcation and boundary limit marking
• Manage site topographical survey
• Coordinate with all relevant external agencies e.g. SSGCL, KESC and others to determine availability of utilities and services and ensure implementation
• Perform surveys and carry out data collection as required
• Manage process of applications and approvals including follow-up
• Ensure quality of work according to specifications during construction
• Provide quantity verification services for contractors’ billing
• Resolve day-to-day site issues between contractors

Applicants must

• Hold an Engineering degree or Diploma in any discipline from a recognized institution
• Have 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience in a Project related environment
• Be experienced in site surveys, development work typical of a green-field site, construction supervision and quantity estimation
• Have experience in procedures and obtaining services from external agencies
• Be highly proficient in the use of MS project planning and MS office applications
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to plan and implement short-term tasks independently
