For The Water for Livelihood Project (W4L)
Intercooperation (IC). a Swtss Development Foundation, is mandated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to implement the Water for Livelihoods Project (W4L) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA (Chitral, Lower ^Oir, Karak. and DIKhan, including FR DIKhan) in collaboration with the Government. The W4L aims at improving quality of life and reducing vulnerabilities of . marginalized communities in rainfed areas through community based water schemes on safe drinking water, water conveyance systems for agriculture, watershed foanagement and Disaster Risk Reduction measures particularly with regard to climatic variability and Climate Change effects IC is seeking applications for the following positions.

For all positions working expenence in KP is compulsory and language skills in Pashto is preferable All positions require frequent travelling to project areas.
□ Team Leader (1 position - Peshawar)
Qualifications: Masters degree in disciplines related to Social , Sciences/Natural Resource Management or Engineering with expertise in Water Resource/ Watershed management. At least ten years work experience in rural development, including in KP.
The incumbent under the overall guidance of the Delegate Intercooperation Pakistan will be responsible to establish and implement W4L in aforementioned project locations.
□ Deputy Team Leader and Community Development Coordinator
(1 position - Peshawar)
Qualifications: Masters/Post graduate in disciplines related to Social sciences/ Rural Development At least seven years of field experience in development sector, including in KP.
□ Engineer Irrigation and water conveyance systems (1 position - F Peshawar)
Qualifications: Masters/Post graduate degree related to Civil Engineering and Irrigation for agriculture/NRM. At least seven years of field experience in development sector, including in KP.
□ Field Engineer (2 positions, one in D l Khan and one in Chitral)
Qualifications; Diploma of Associate Engineers or Master degree in disciplines related to water- safe drinking water, conveyance systems. Disaster Risks Management At least five years field experience in relevant field in rural areas of the KP
□ Field/community Facilitator (2 positions, one in Dl Khan and one in Chitral)
Qualifications: Master degree related to social science and civil society organisation with at least five years of field experience in this sector in the rural areas of the KP
□ Admin-Finance Officer (1 position - based in Peshawar with travelling to project areas)
Qualifications: MBA/M.Com or ACCA/B.Com with articles completed with reputed audit firm. At least 5 years experience in handling Admin/Finance in reputed development organisation.
The contracts will be for the duration of the first phase of the project, August 2011 to July 2013, with possibility of extension. Salary and benefits will be comparable to international NGO's standards.
