EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

A Diplomatic Mission in Islamabad is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of "Media Officer" for its office in Islamabad. The following minimum qualifications and experience are required:

Education: University degree (16 years of education) in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Political Science, International relations or Defense and Strategic Studies.

Experience: Minimum 3 years' working experience in media (print or electronic) with a significant knowledge of local and international political, economic, and social issues. Comprehensive understanding of media environments, applicable trends, and multimedia technology is desirable.

Communication Skills: Professional-level proficiency (with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary) in reading and writing English and Urdu. Proficiency in other regional language(s) pertinent to the coverage area is desirable. The incumbent must have the ability to translate selected print and voice material into clear idiomatic English from Urdu & other languages.

Duration: Initially for one year with chances of extension.
