Position for the Vice Chancellor AJK University Vacant

Applications and nominations are invited for the appointment of Vice Chancellor, University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, having inter alia the following attributes:

1.  Possess distinguished reputation as a scholar and academician having close familiarity with academicfunctions both in class room teaching and research.

2.  Experience in higher education management.

3.  Capability and experience of resource mobilization.

4.  Leadership qualities for policy making in relation to efficient and effective management of all affairs of the University.

Eligibility Criteria

5.  Should have a Ph.D degree in any subject from a reputed University.

6.  Should not be more than 65 years of age.

7.  Should have vast experience in administrative and financial management.

8.  Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply.

Terms and Conditions:

Tenure:

9.  Shall hold office during the pleasure of Chancellor/President for a term not exceeding fouryears.

Pay:

1. Mp2 package along with usual allowances or the other pay package applicable in public sectoruniversities in Pakistan.

Other perquisites, allowances, etc:

1. All other perquisites, privileges and allowances as currently admissible to Vice Chancellor of public sector universities in Pakistan.

1. Eligible candidates are requested to apply for the post on plain paper. The application should be accompanied by the following documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
2. Certified copies of educational certificates/degrees/diploma.
3. A detailed curriculum vitae of the applicant clearly highlighting all elements of the eligibility criteria and personal attributes.
4. Copies of the research publications. Only publications in research journals of international repute as recognized by HEC should be included.
5. Three recent passport size photographs.
6. A write up not exceeding five pages containing personal vision on managing and improvement of the University.
